The arsenal of effects Wavestate boasts is worth. The step sequencer values, gate times, and shapes help achieve quality sound, and you can independently manipulate the melody, the sequence of samples, and the timing all thanks to the Wave Sequencing 2.0. Are there alternatives? I haven't found anything. The Korg Wavestate comes with an array of features that you can use to your advantage. And I'll be giving up the Elektron sequencer. But it seems silly to buy a wave-sequencing synth if I don't need wave-sequencing. However the Korg connection software still wont work with Windows 10 21H1 so my PC doesnt recognise the Wavestate via USB.

SO - I was thinking of getting a Wavestate and a Minitaur and calling it a day. Im keen to use the new Wavestate software that has just been released. Ultimately I need piano sounds, and strings would be nice as well, but I also need some deep Moogy bass and some industrial leads. The wave sequencing aspect of the Wavestate doesn't really interest me that much to be honest, but I think the samples sound pretty good and I like the blending with the joystick. I'm no synth master, and I can't really get many good sounds out of the Elektron.

The Korg Wavestate offers an updated take on wave sequencing, introduced with their classic Wavestation synthesizer.

Currently have an original Wavestation, a Minibrute, and an Elektron Analog Keys.
